I might be moving across the country soon and am not exactly sure how long I will be living in the area. I am guessing at least a year, but it could be less. I think it would be nice not to have to buy a bed, furniture and all of that once I get there. But what are the downsides to renting a furnished unit?

I am going to be renting my first apartment soon, and was wondering what exactly do I need to be aware of? I’m pretty inexperienced with the whole subject, so are there any general tips that would help me out? Like what to look out for in the lease, etc.? Thanks!
