I’m a first time home buyer, and I have no idea about the process. I can’t seem to find any good resources on the web regarding this issue: Is hiring a buyer’s agent a good idea, or is it better to go it alone (especially considering my knowledge of real estate is limited to what I’ve picked up on the web)? How is the buyer’s agent commission usually paid? Does anyone have any good websites they can refer me to regarding the home buying process?
Do you have a property that you want to sell? You can sell it through sales agent or through private house sales. Both of these will definitely give you enough exposure to get clients buying your property. However, you need to know all the pros and cons so it will guide you what options to take.
We are just beginning the home buying process. We have no home to sell (first time buyers) and were thinking of getting a real estate agent. However, I know we would have to sign one of those exclusivity contracts and, if we buy a foreclosed upon home, their comission would have to come from somewhere (us?).
